Maile Acting School Graduate Aubrey PeeplesActing graduate and Performing Troop member Aubrey Peeples

She first fell in love with acting at the age of 3 as a captivated audience member watching her first play at The Civic Theatre. When she turned 5, she was in her first play and hasn’t stopped since. She grew up performing in both community and professional musicals, singing at several venues including the National anthem for the Orlando Magic, and was a proud Thespian member.

In 2007 she turned to film and had her first role in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Jr. In high school she started making short trips to Los Angeles each year to break into that market as well as continuing to work in the Southeast, building her resume with several guest-starring and co-starring roles in Drop Dead Diva, Charlie’s Angels, Burn Notice, Austin & Ally, and a recurring role on Necessary Roughness as well as several commercials.

After Graduation

After graduating high school as Valedictorian and getting accepted to universities such as Harvard, Columbia, UCLA, Northwestern and the University of Michigan, she decided to take a year off and move to LA to pursue her passion for acting. The universe blessed her with steady work with roles in Grey’s Anatomy, Lifetime movie The Good Mother, the CW pilot Star-Crossed, and the now cult hit Sharknado, in which she played Claudia, the daughter of Tara Reid and Ian Ziering. She recently filmed the movie Tokarev starring Nicolas Cage which will premiere in 2014.

In her down time, she became a tutor and volunteered weekly at a food bank. She also published her first article in TYA Today, and helped produceSharknado and starred in a short film A Conversation: Anne Frank Meets God. As her gap year in LA was coming to an end, she was packing up her apartment to head to college when she got the call she booked a large recurring role playing newcomer Layla Grant on ABC’s Nashville. Two days later, she was on a flight to Nashville to start shooting. She is thrilled to be involved with such a great group of people getting to both act and sing. Academics is still a high priority and Aubrey plans to accomplish those goals as well one day, but for now she is enjoying the ride! Way to go Aubrey!
