Dedra Curtis: 2016 Ms. Citrus Perfect Woman
For over 30 years, Maile School modeling & acting grad Dedra Curtis has judged, competed, and held various State and National pageant titles calling her passion for pageantry, modeling and acting her “alter-ego”.
As Mrs. Florida Spirit 2011, she won the national title, Mrs. American Spirit 2011-2012 and made appearances throughout the United States. Most recently, Dedra was 2015 Ms. Georgia United States Woman, winning 3rd runner up at Ms. United States and currently holds National Titles: 2016 Ms. Citrus and 2016 Ms. Citrus Perfect Woman.
Dedra is a pre-law graduate from the University of Central Florida, Founder / CEO of Legal1 Self-Help Legal Center which was accepted on the first season of ABC’s hit show Shark Tank. She is National Executive Director of American Spirit Pageants, Founder of Queen Bee Elite Group, a pageantry training resource and sisterhood with a mission of mentoring.
In addition, Dedra is heavily active in the community. Her many charities are Good-Will Ambassador for The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Lighthouse Central Florida, Special Olympics, Westgate Foundation, Make A Wish Foundation, The American Diabetes Association and Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals, to name a few. Due to her involvement, she has raised over 2 million dollars benefiting charities throughout the nation.
Dedra was recognized by Orlando Woman Newspaper as 2011’s Woman To Watch, selected by Femme Decor to be one of five local “celebrities” to participate in their local “Dancing with the Stars.” The event raised several thousands of dollars for the UCF and Valencia Nursing Programs. She also was nominated in 2013 in the Orlando Business Journal’s to 40 under 40 professionals and received the Central Florida Citrus Council’s Visionary Award Nomination.
